Floor board risers

My wife being the vertically challenged person that she is, mentioned that the passenger floor boards on our new bike were too low and she could not sit comfortably. No long trips for her! I can fix that....er, I better fix that. We started by having her sit on the bike and I kept putting pieces of wood under her feet until she was happy. Then it was a simple matter of measuring the wood and building the riser.

A check of the ye ol' scrap pile was yet again in order. I found a couple of old straw chopper hammers that seemed to fit the build. Some excess had to be removed otherwise, as luck would have it the original holes actually lined up and only required two more holes to be drilled . At this point I found out that the hammers are built out of VERY good steel and really hard on drill bits.

After hearing numerous concerns for considering a 'delusional' on something so new, I even painted them for that 'purchased look'.

Its official, this GoldWing is exhibiting Delusional tendencies.
