So a long time ago we had a sump for the basment but it was less than premium and eventuly colapsed. Time for a new one. let the diging begin.

So we finished diging and installed a plastic drum barrel.My lovly wife has volenteered to go in and make the inlet hole.She is also not around this week, She is ...umm visiting her sister ...ya thats it , visiting her sister.
The water is comming in.
It was a very wet spring this year and the water got a bit out of controll..This is parked in the middle of the county ROAD!
So with the sump digging and installing compleat it was time to controll the new sump pump,
Ardunio controlled box for the pump. It has a water proof ultrasonic sensor connected to it to read the water level in the barrel. Now it has the abillity to know the hight of the water. simple math will calculate liters.
Using the micro controller makes it easy to create an ajustable parameter to set upper and lower limits. It can also track liters it has pumped in the last number of days and liters per hour comming in.



Yup! You bet! I checked it with a stop watch and the water was coming in at 192 liters per hour!
