The Review!

Wouldn't it be neat to simulate dangerous or time-consuming chemistry labs, right down to the glassware and pouring of the chemicals? Chemlab can do it for you!

Chemlab provides you with all the structural elements of a real chemistry lab, plus a menu of procedures to perform. Want to titrate? No problem! Want to pour, or filter? No problem! The program even has many premade labs, such as acid base titration, which have an informative window that guides you through the whole lab while giving you all sorts of background information.

It's fairly easy and intuitive to use Model Chemlab... mostly it's just a matter of clicking on the items you want to use and then specifying what chemicals you want to put in. An integrated help system is included for neophytes who just can't figure out how to get that buret to titrate!

Problems are still evident in the MacOS version... although it has improved immmensely since the last version, it is still a little slow to load, menu items have not been converted to Mac-friendly terminology ("exit", instead of "quit"), and certain keyboard equivalents do not work - for example, you must select "delete" from the pull-down menu because the delete button on the keyboard doesn't work (a real hassle!). The windows version is primo... everything seems to work peachy keen. Hopefully Modelscience will be successful in someday getting this great program completely ported over properly to the Mac platform.
